This is one of the UK’s leading, independent children’s book magazines producing 6 issues a year. It was launched in 1980 and ever since has been reviewing hundreds of new children’s books every year and publishing articles on every aspect of writing for children. In early 1910 Books for Keeps produced their last ever print version, and the magazine is now only available online
Published 3 times a year this is a magazine which aims to keep its readers informed about the world of children’s books. The contents of each issue include new book reviews ranging from babies to young adults and covering fiction, poetry and non-fiction. Alongside are articles and in-depth interviews with authors and illustrator
WRD (formerly known as tBkMAG) is a quarterly publication for 8-12 year-olds which is filled with extracts from the latest books, author Q&As plus loads of assorted features and activities. Originally produced for and on behalf of Peters, WRD is now an independent magazine in its own right. From 2018 it will be published three times a year, with each issue coinciding with a major event in the ‘book year’. Historically it has always been sold in packs of five magazines to libraries, schools and other organisations, but from 2018 the production team are also going to be selling magazine subscriptions direct to WRD readers.
